Vanilla Extract Recipe

Our organic vanilla beans come in an 8-ounce bottle with 1 ounce of exceptional quality Grade A vanilla. 

To make your own extract, add vodka or the spirit of your choice to cover the beans, replace the cap, and shake.   

For extra depth in flavor, you can split the beans down the center with a knife or scissors, making sure to add back into the bottle any caviar on the blade, before you add the spirits.  

Store extract in a cool, dark place and shake at least once a week.  

Vanilla should be ready to use within four months, but the best flavor comes from waiting up to a year.
